10 New Hotspots in Amsterdam 2016

Amsterdam is always buzzing and new restaurants & hotels open every week. This is my top 10 of must-visit, favorite, new hotspots in the city! Enjoy! ♥

New Hotspots 1. Jansz.
The grand opening of this beautiful restaurant, at the luxurious Pulitzer Hotel, was a culinary highlight at the beginning of this year. The food is absolutely delicious & the interior design is extraordinary. Do yourself a favor and try the chocolate cake with salted caramel sauce… It is a guaranteed return ticket to heaven! New Hotspots2. Yay Health Store & More
Try the yoga classes at this healthy hotspot in The Pijp and taste the pure & healthy food they serve at the Raw Food Café. They don’t boil or cook the ingredients, so all the nutrients are preserved. At the Health Store they sell organic products with a story. Cosy new hotspot!

New Hotspots3. Ijsmanschap
This is the very first Popsicle Bar in the Netherlands! Pick your favorite flavour, like ‘Champagne-Raspberry’, then pick a topping, like white chocolate..yummmm! They also have lactose free & sugar free popsicles. Here comes the sun!

New Hotspots4. Gallery 3
Everything on the menu is delicious. Trust me, I have tried almost every dish available! This place is a great hangout for breakfast/ lunch or a Latte & Laptop session. Try the special French Toast! The Asian Fish Cakes, with cilantro & lemongrass, are another favorite of mine! Every dish is prepared with love & creativity.

New Hotspots5. Hangar
This recreated hangar, in the north of Amsterdam, has a unique feel. Industrial, but cosy! The beautiful, romantic lighting makes this place a perfect spot for a date! The sophisticated dishes, the tasty wine & the mellow jazz music are the ultimate ingredients for a new, favorite hotspot!

New hotspots6. Gin Neo Bistro & Wines
Just a couple of weeks ago, I visited this AMAZING restaurant. The creative menu changes monthly and exceeds every possible expectation, for a very friendly price. Book a table at Gin Neo Bistro for a relaxed evening with fine, innovative cuisine, the Amsterdam, urban way… How about dragon parfait with white chocolate & frozen beef marrow? Click HERE for more photos and a full post about my experience.

New Hotspots7. Restaurant Moon
2 Words: the view….Wow! Unfortunately, I have not been able to visit this recently opened new venue yet, but I have been hearing amazing reviews. Therefore it deserves to be on the list. When you take the elevator up to the restaurant, at the 19th floor of the spectacular A’dam Tower, the experience begins… The restaurant has a 360 degree view over Amsterdam and…..wait for it…..ROTATES! So while enjoying some amazing food, you will get to see all the 360 degrees of the magnificent view. I cannot wait!

New Hotspots8. Taqueria Tacobar
You can wake me up in the deep, dark, sleepy, middle of the night for some tasty Mexican food. I wouldn’t call it an addiction, but I can’t control myself when I’m too close. No wonder this place made the list of my top 10 favorite, new hotspots! Taco’s, Corona’s & Frozen Margarita’s…Need I say more? I think I will stay the night….

9. The Breakfast Club, Haarlemmerplein
After the success of the first 2 Breakfast Clubs, at the Bellamystraat & the Haarlemmerplein, the guys opened a new venue at the Wibautstraat, in the east of Amsterdam. This is THE place to be for an All Day Breakfast and/ or drinks in the evening! Bloody Mary anyone?

New Hotspots10. SNCKBR
Don’t expect greasy french fries & sloppy beef burgers, but healthy, organic alternatives. All the options on the menu are prepared without, to use their own words, ‘BULLSHIT’. Most of the comfort food at SNCKBR is gluten free, low in carbs, vegetarian or vegan. This may sound a little scary to some of you, but trust me, it is delicious! And they serve some very tasty cocktails too..
SNCKBR, Van Woustraat 34-36 & Kinkerstraat 106, Amsterdam.
