Yessss here they are again! Cocktails, shared dining, a hangover brunch and eating with your hands: these are my 6 big fat weekend tips for your weekend in Amsterdam! Enjoy…
1. Miss Moneypenny
My number 1 new favorite in my hometown! This brand new addition to our city is run by the same guys as Venster 33 and Taproom. On the menu you find original cocktails and delicious shared dining dishes, inspired by street food from all over the world. We loved the Asian Pancakes!! Pssst, there is a special event this sunday; Penny’s Sunday: Cocktails & Oysters… Check the list of creative cocktails and more dishes here: https://www.missmp.nl/
Spuistraat 223, Amsterdam
Spanish cuisine with a twist! I love the ‘boquerones en vinagre’: fresh ansjovis in vinegar. Try the popular crispy tacos with pulled pork & the soft ceviche too! The interior is stunning. Romantic candles and great prices make this an ideal spot for a date. If you are having fun, you can dance the night away after dinner. This place is one of my favorite hang-outs in de Pijp area.
Eerste Sweelinckstraat 10, Amsterdam
When the sun is out, you can find me at this lovely wine bar, because there is a big terrace! The descriptions of the wines on the menu will make you smile…
Tweede van der Helststraat 3, Amsterdam
4. Gallery 3 Brunch
Top spot after a night of a little too much fun… Order the delicious pancakes, French Toast with fresh fruit or, my personal favorite, the Asian Fish Cakes. The homemade cakes are impressive and the coffee is top notch. And if your eyes can’t handle daylight, you can have your order to go!
Bilderdijkstraat 175, Amsterdam
Mexican heaven. At Coba you eat the finger licking good food with your hands! This beautiful, raw and industrial taqueria is located in a former garage. On the menu you find fresh and delicious tacos, natural wines, refreshing cocktails and a couple of unique tequila and mescal options. Super cosy and laid back place!
Schaafstraat 4, Amsterdam Noord
6. Lion Noir
The vibe at my all time favorite Lion Noir is unique. The interior looks like a film set and on the weekends they have deejays in this small, but busy bar/ restaurant. The cocktails are divine. I like to catch up on my gossip with friends here on friday night. It is a great spot to start your weekend! Check my full post and more photos HERE.
