1. HoogtIJ x Groovy Tables
At this stunning “rooftop summer resto” in the North of Amsterdam, you can dine with a view. The pop-up restaurant by the amazing team of restaurant Daalder, serves 5- or 7- top-notch courses. You can have wine pairing with that. Dinner is served between 18:00 and 22:00 and after that you can linger while you spot falling stars and dance the night away. End time unknown. You don’t want to miss this! You can book a table on these 6 dates: August 3, 4, 11, 16, 17 or 18. Some of the dates are already fully booked so be quick…

2. Vegan Food Festival
On August 10,11 and 12 the Westergasfabriek is a (vegan) foodie heaven with over 30 food and non-food stands at the Vegan Food Festival. Try the creative dishes by Vleesch noch Visch, Madame Cocos, Sharp Sharp and many more. If you would like to get even healthier, you can work out with the Vondelgym, sing karaoke at Duke of Tokyo and at 23:00 the night continues at the Transformatorhuis where you can dance the night away with tunes by some of the best clubs in Amsterdam.

3. Uptown Meatclub
This cosy restaurant for meat lovers serves possibly the best Côte de Boeuf in the city. If you would like to go for something a little lighter, try the Spanish plate with an ice cold glass of Sauvignon Blanc. Don’t worry if you’re a vegetarian, they have some delicous meat free options on the menu too, like a beet tartare! I love the wine list here that includes my favorites from the Marlborough Region in New Zealand and Puglia, Italy. Cheers!

4. Pompstation
This former waterpumpingstation from 1912 has a beautiful terrace and a unique interior. With high ceilings and an industrial vibe, the interior is still intimate. The speciality of the female chef from New Zealand is meat. Try the steak, rib-eye or hamburgers! But there’s more than meat on the menu. With dishes made with seasonal products & delicious vegetarian options, there is something for everyone. From thursday untill sunday there is live music!
(Check out the website for more information about the program! Because of the heat, some of the performances are cancelled this month.)
Zeeburgerdijk 52, Amsterdam

5. The Amsterdam Terraces Festival
From August 23 untill August 26 the Rembrandtpark will transform into the biggest terrace in the city. 20 of the best terraces in Amsterdam are represented here at this second edition of the festival, like my favorites: Meneer Nieges, Miss Moneypenny, BAUT, Café Panache, Van ‘t Spit, Café Vrijdag and Venster33! Entry is free. After dinner you can dance at the Vondeldisco!

6. Voldaan – All Day Brunch
At this small, cute spot at the Bilderdijkstraat you can recover from the night before with a delicious all day brunch… The dishes are all made with a lot of veggies & herbs. They don’t use red meat. We loved the hummus!!

7. Lion Noir
A couple of days ago, I found myself in the stunning courtyard of Lion Noir, for an event by Canei. They recently launched a delicious 0,0% Frizzante. Lion Noir is known for their creative cocktails. This sunny afternoon all the cocktails were mixed with Canei Frizzante! We had no idea! The stunning location and beautiful interior makes this one of my favorite hangouts in the city. You will find this spot in many of weekend tips!
