It is starting to get cold in the city, so I need warmth and cosy places! These are my weekend tips Amsterdam for November! Once you’ve warmed up in here, you don’t want to leave anymore… Promise. Enjoy!
1. Persijn – Weekend Tips Amsterdam
This classy “Dutch Eatery” is the restaurant of the impressive Hotel QO, close to Amstelstation. Don’t expect the standard Dutch dishes, but creative twists, with fresh ingredients from the glass house on the 22nd floor! We loved the tender chicken with corn, sabayon and gravy! Check out their Boozy Brunch every first sunday of the month…

2. Truffle season at 5&33 – Weekend Tips Amsterdam
OK, I am definitely not a big fan of autumn in Amsterdam, but there is one biiiiig postive thing about this time of year: truffle season has begun! 5&33 starts Truffle Tuesday every tuesday, from November 20. You can eat a fresh pasta with black truffle, including a glass of prosecco for €20,-. Or you can go for the royal 4-course-menu for €75.-. And yes, even the dessert is made with truffle!

3. Amsterdam Light festival – Weekend Tips Amsterdam
From November 29 untill Januari 20 the heart of Amsterdam will be lit by special pieces of art, created by international artists. During the event you can book beautiful boat trips. This is the best way to see the works of art! So romantic. Blue Boat Company donates a part of the profit of the tickets to the Make a Wish Foundation. They help sick children make their wishes come true.
4. Juniper & Kin – Weekend Tips Amsterdam
On the 21st floor of Hotel QO, yes the one I mentioned before, you find rooftop bar Juniper & Kin, with an amaaaaazing view over the city. It feels like you’re in New York here! They serve some tasty and creative cocktails and delicious, small dishes. Try the Tomato: a very special version of the famous Bloody Mary… The oysters are almost too pretty to eat! They launched a winter menu including a Pumpkin Spiced Latte…with rum. Just so you know;-).

5. Rainbowls – Weekend Tips Amsterdam
This place is no secret anymore for health freaks, but oh my, these bowls are good.. and very Instagrammable. So colorful and super fresh! You have to be lucky to find a seat here, but you can also have your bowl to go…

6. Cowshed Spa Soho House – Weekend Tips Amsterdam
The exclusive Soho House is a members only club, but…. Halleluja, everybody can visit restaurant Cecconi’s and the beautiful Cowshed Spa! They have some amazing massages here. Ask for Joanna. But don’t worry if she is fully booked; all of the ladies who work here are extremely professional and come from all over the world. They use Skinceuticals that have been tested to perfection for 6 years. Fun fact: the name of the spa, Cowshed, comes from the first spa ever build for a Soho House. This spa was build in… the cowshed. How fancy! Even the products are all named after this. You can choose your favorite oil for your massage, like the Knackered Cow of the Horny Cow…
7. Park – Weekend Tips Amsterdam
This beautiful spot in the Oosterpark is one you need to know where to find, because it is not close to the main road. They serve delicous dishes and wine here and the atmosphere is really cosy. My favorites on the menu are the wontons with shrimp & lobster and the tender chicken with, YES, truffle teriyaki! Yummm. This is a great spot for a date!
