As beautiful as the world is, there are just a few places I would actually like to live.
Byron Bay is my number one (followed by Sydney). Let me give you an impression: girls in bikinis with wavy hair on skateboards, shirtless guys carry their surfboards to the beach, well.. carry them anywhere, the board is a popular accessory here, it’s a way of life. Everybody walks around barefoot, there are cute shops everywhere and everything is organic, sustainable & healthy..Of course you can get french fries whenever you like too..There is a very special vibe here. The sun always shines and the beach is never far. While travelling through Australia, I made friends for life here. I did ‘the ugly cry’ when I had to leave, but flew back from Melbourne ( spending my last money) for New Years Eve.
One of the cute spots is Harvest Cafe & Deli. Technically it is not in Byron Bay, but in the nearby village Newrybar. Harvest is a cafe, a deli and a bakery. Everything is delicious, organic and made with local products. They have their own garden and farm, it’s all about sustainability. Hurray!
The vibe is casual & chic, but walking around barefoot is of course no problem at all:-) It’s a great place for a brunch with your friends, a good cup of coffee, or dinner & cocktails. Oh and they serve 20 different wines by the glass..Just in case you can’t choose.
Harvest Cafe & Deli is open 7 days a week.
Byron Bay, I love you, I’ll be back some day…:-)
