4. Restaurant Felix
Once in a while you eat at a new restaurant and you talk about it for weeks. Restaurant Felix, in the Felix Meritus house on the Keizersgracht, is the best restaurant I’ve eaten in a long time. Chef Floris van Straalen creates culinary delights, course after course.

5. El Pibe
At this Latin American restaurant run by the owners of Salmuera, the candles burn everywhere you look. The interior is an homage to football legend Maradonna. His old back number 10, is incorporated in the tile wall. Order the ‘chifless’: crispy plantain with avocado dip and one of the delicious ceviches! They make a killer Pornstar Martini here. Dangerously good…

Tozi | Amsterdam Weekend tips
6. Tozi
At Tozi, in the Park Plaza Vondelpark, they serve super fresh Italian dishes inspired by Venetian cuisine. My favourites on the menu are the carpaccio with fresh truffle and the king crab with lemon mayo! The Sauvignon Blanc by the glass is also highly recommended! Order about 2 dishes per person per course and share them with each other. The signature dish is the Tonnarelli “Cacio e Pepe” which is prepared at the table … From June 18, it is also possible to dine in a private setting on the terrace of the Junior Suite.

7. BUNK Hotel Amsterdam
This brand new hotel in the former Sint-Ritakerk in Amsterdam North, is not just a new hotspot for tourists, but also a super cozy new hangout for locals. A fully equipped online sound studio is open to local and international DJ and podcast talent. An artist-in-residence program gives creative movers & shakers the space to create beautiful things without time pressure, financial pressure or quid pro quo. In the restaurant you share one of the long tables with travelers and (flex-working) neighbours. Meals are prepared with local ingredients and prices are low. You can buy a cup of coffee here for €1.50! Rare in Amsterdam. Sleeping at BUNK Hotel? Click HERE for the best rates and availability!

8. HappyHappyJoyJoy Downtown
At the end of 2019 this edition of the popular HappyHappyJoyJoy restaurants opened its doors on the Singel, right under the Supperclub. On the menu are many oriental dishes to share, such as fresh dim sum, bao’s, pad thai and curries. They serve special Asian soft drinks and beers. The fishcakes are highly recommended!

Graphite – Speakeasy & Hidden Restaurant
Graphite
The mysterious restaurant Graphite, owned by chef Peter Gast, was recently awarded a Michelin star. Finding the entrance is a challenge and no pictures are allowed inside, but believe me, you will love it here! In the intimate and romantic setting you enjoy special dishes that are almost too beautiful to eat.
