Pulitzer’s Bar
This is one of my all-time favorite cocktail bars in Amsterdam and they just launched a new cocktail menu: The Pulitzer Archives. The team at Pulitzer’s Bar dove into the city archives of Amsterdam to develop a new menu series. The series is inspired by Pulitzer Amsterdam’s canal houses on the Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht. Buildings and former residents of the Keizersgracht are the inspiration for this first menu. The names of the cocktails refer to these stories and former residents. Great place for a date!

Anam
Vietnamese street food! The best banh mi I have had in Amsterdam so far! My favorite Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk is also on the menu. The Vietnamese Style Loaded Fries are the perfect hangover cure, if you’ve had a little too much fun the night before….

Restaurant Kaia
At the new restaurant Kaia in Amsterdam-Zuid, you can try Greek dishes with a modern twist. The bread basket is the best I’ve had in a long time. Warm rolls with olive oil & herbs in a bottle. Love the presentation. The chicken with red miso, smoked almonds and carrot puree is also a must try! There are some very creative and delicious cocktails on the menu too…

Hotel Wonderland – Hembrug, Zaandam
Ok ok, not in Amsterdam, but definitely worth a visit! Hotel Wonderland is the first immersive theater show in The Netherlands. Twelve mysterious residents of the hotel invite you to a full evening’s experience. As a guest you walk through the many storylines…

Saint-Jean
This plant-based bakery & café has become a true hipster heaven and it can get pretty crowded, but to be honest; after tasting the “plum cruffin with custard”, I’m a fan too! Order a specialty coffee and find a spot in the sun.

De Marktkantine – Mees Salomé & Joris Delacroix
Unfortunately, De Marktkantine will have to close its doors on June 20. I love to dance here and I have met so many beautiful people on the dancefloor. The upcoming closure hurts. This weekend Mees Salomé and Joris Delacroix are programmed. So get dressed to dance until the early hours… while you still can!

Grammes
Although I live just around the corner and I cycle past this spot almost every day, I stepped into this patisserie for the first time last week, because someone recommended the croissants. Chef Maxime Papin learned the ropes of the trade in New York and Paris and now we can enjoy all that in the Rivierenbuurt. The Pistachio Escargot is insanely delicious! Go early in the day, so you don’t miss out on anything. You can also place pre-orders.
