The Staves: Sisterly Harmony for the Road

The Staves

Three sisters, Jessica, Emily & Camilla, from Watford England, form the Staves. They grew up listening to The Beatles, Simon & Garfunkel, Crosby, Stills & Nash and James Taylor and make acoustic, folk-rock songs, that will make you happy or melancholic, or both at the same time…
I listen a lot to them on the road.
Yesterday, I saw them live in The Melkweg, Amsterdam and their first notes instantly gave me goosebumps! Wow! Their voices are the perfect match. How amazing to create this music and travel the world together! I want that too! My favorite album is ‘Dead & Born & Grown’, that is filled with great songs for the road. In March the new album ‘If I Was’ was released.

This song, ‘Facing West’, was on their first EP.
