Dinner with your feet in the soft Thai sand! Whitening is one of the most romantic dinner spots in Koh Tao. When we walk past the restaurant during the day, I’m not instantly impressed, but when we decide to check it for dinner, we’re sold. It’s all white here, not very surprising with the name of the place… Candles light the tables & make this spot very romantic. The ocean is the perfect sunset backdrop for a dinner.

I order the Panang curry with Duck, Lychees & Pineapple..yummm. This is, without a doubt, one of the best curries I ate in Thailand! There are a lot of tasty cocktails on the menu & the bean bags will make you linger for a long time..

Koh Tao is my favorite island out of the three we visited. Koh Samui & Koh Phangan are definitely worth a visit, but the charm of Koh Tao is unbeatable. A typical day on this island involves snorkeling, eating tasty curries & drinking cocktails on the beach at night. Not too bad huh?

Don’t forget to try Mr. Ali’s Pancakes! He is baking with full focus every night in the streets near the beach. I have never seen anybody bake pancakes with this much precision, speed & focus! He’s a pro. Fun to watch and very tasty! A perfect dessert!

One of the best things about Thailand is the low price level. For a maincourse at Whitening you pay about 250 Baht = $7,-. Affordable right?
