The Jane, Antwerp: Rock’n Roll Dining
Restaurant The Jane is absolutely a must-visit when you’re in Antwerp. The space is extraordinary and with Sergio Herman, responsible for the Michelin stars at Dutch restaurant Oud Sluis, you don’t have to worry about the menu.. This place is very Instagrammable and the food is creative and delicious. What a unique setting. A visit to The Jane is high on my bucketlist!
The restaurant is located in an old chapel of a military hospital and used to be a church. A special detail is the open kitchen, that is build where the altar used to be! Here food is a religion:-). Dutch designer Piet Boon transformed the church into a beautiful restaurant. Fine dining meets rock’n roll! What a beautiful space.
Above the restaurant you find The Upper Room; a food & cocktail bar, that also offers exclusive beers and a fabulous wine collection…The tattooed bar is located where the organ used to be. Once a month restaurant The Jane organises Nightsessions, with dj’s, special food & drinks and the party goes on ’till late at night. For the exact date, follow The Jane on Facebook.
Price for a 3 course dinner: about € 55
You can make a reservation 3 months ahead. Lunch in The Upper Room is a great option too. The chefs prepare the food right in front of you and tell you all about the ingredients.
