After a long weekend in Arnhem, I am pleasantly surprised by this creative & green city in the south of the Netherlands! The 7 streets and the Spijker Quarter are 2 areas not to be missed. I found some amazing shops, restaurants & cafes! These are my 12 favorite hotspots in Arnhem.

The cutest organic store in town. Pick up some healthy, tasty snacks for the day, some homemade granola or ‘healthy’ chocolate! So much goodness in here!

3. Rawsome Food
A healthy, unique & special lunch! Raw smoothies, juices, sandwiches, salads & cakes. The food hasn’t been heated over 48 degrees Centigrade (117 degrees Fahrenheit).  One of the healthiest hotspots in Arnhem, located in the city centre!

6. Bos & Heij
Run by two sisters, who decided that after working as teachers for years, it was time for something new. This place started out as a shop, but now has a cafe too. All the meals are prepared with pure and local ingredients.

7. Cupcakes 4 Ever
Probably the sweetest store in town and THE place to be for all the big sweet tooths among us. So cute! ‘Tomboy’ anyone?

Espresso bar, cafe & expo. Enjoy a quality cup of coffee, a John Lemon ( rhubarb lemonade), or a Russian beer & order some quesadillas for example. You won’t find any meat on the menu, but they do have sustainable fish. Special spot.

Mo Lón

9. Mo Lón
Mo Lón is inspired by Irish Delis and is famous for the Pulled Pork sandwich they make. The meat is slowly cooked for over 10 hours and served with a special homemade sauce …yumm! Loved it!

10. Hemels (means heavenly)
Besides the delicious cakes, you find some excellent salads, sandwiches & an all day breakfast on the menu. Scones, American pancakes and French toast are some of the sweet breakfast options. My fresh sandwich with mozzarella, tomato & basil oil is really heavenly. Hemels is also a great spot for a high tea!

11. Bar Spijker
This was one of our favorite hotspots in Arnhem during our weekend in the city. We stayed at Hotel Spijker next door and loved the Coco-Mat bed! The bar has a New York feel and an excellent wine list. We enjoyed the meat plate and cheeses. Make a reservation on weekends, it get’s busy!

It is all about local ingredients at this restaurant. Almost everything is homemade. Order some oisters and enjoy a good glass of wine. The price range is really good. Located in the hot & upcoming Spijker Quarter.
