7 x Weekend Tips for Amsterdam

Time for an Amsterdam update! These are 7 brand new highlights to help you with your Amsterdam weekend planning!  Grasshoppers, street art, avocado masterpieces and killer dim sum on a very special location… These are my 7 favorite weekend tips for Amsterdam!

weekend tips for amsterdam1. Bardak
This new place gets busy, so be prepared to wait a little for a seat. On the menu you find street food from Tel Aviv. I loved the Mushroom Shawarma with 4 different dips and the Sfiha with spicy tomato, eggplant, fêta and pita bread. The cocktail menu is creative and delicious! Try the Pink Lychee Martini with lychee and cranberry… Dangerously good! Loved the music here! Great spot to start your evening.

2. Silom Thai
This big, new Thai restaurant has an amazing location in the heart of the city. You get to choose from classic Thai dishes like tasty Paneng, or you can try something different…. like grasshoppers or crocodile! I really liked the grasshoppers with a cold Singha beer. My favorites on the menu are the Spicy Salmon Balls and the Paneng with lychee!

3. Terrace Marie Amsterdam, Hotel De L’Europe
The beautiful and peaceful terrace of 5 star Hotel De L’Europe has a nice view over Amsterdam. This is a great spot to have a glass of wine or champagne, YOLO, and unwind after a day of exploring the city! The designstudio NiceMakers is currently transforming the look and feel of the hotel, so I can’t wait for the results!

De Bajes is a unique street art bar at Rembrandt Square. International artists like D*Face, Ben Eine and The London Police are represented here. This urban jungle has tasty cocktails, delicious charcuterie and there are dj’s in the weekends! Cheers!

5. Sea Palace – Dim sum Brunch
This huge boat close to Amsterdam Central Station is a popular Asian hotspot. The dim sum is absolutely delicious here! It is a great spot for a sunday ‘hangover’ brunch. Not in the mood for alcohol? Try the alcohol free Seadlip cocktails!

The first restaurant is always extremely busy, so thank god they opened a new one at Keizersgracht 449! Most of the dishes are almost too pretty to eat. Try the vegan Peanut Butter Avo Ice Cream! Sooooo good!

7. Bar Ramona
Start your weekend with a cocktail or specialty beer at brand new Bar Ramona. The bar is owned by the same guys that started Bar Bukowski, Waterkant and Louie Louie. I am a big fan of the oysters and the Asian Jackfruit Nuggets! This funky lady is open all day for breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks!
