Yemanja Ibiza: Cava Sangria at Cala Jondal
Two words: Cava Sangria. The best version of this drink on the island, and I have tried to reproduce the recipe at home more times than I care to admit. It is still not the same. Yemanja Ibiza is the perfect place for a lazy lunch on a sunny Ibiza day, right at the edge of Cala Jondal beach, with a menu full of tapas, fresh fish and a paella that ruins every other paella for you. Great for groups too, but do make a reservation. If you are still planning your trip, my Ibiza tips and hidden gems guide covers everything worth knowing before you go.

Yemanjá is located at beautiful Cala Jondal | Yemanja Ibiza
Yemanja Ibiza: the food and the vibe
Situated right on Cala Jondal beach, Yemanjá has an extensive menu of tapas and fresh fish. The fish dishes are my favourite, but the paella and mussels are the reason people keep coming back. After lunch, you can move to one of the comfortable daybeds and spend the rest of the afternoon in the sun. That is the ultimate Ibiza feeling, and Yemanjá delivers it every single time. The restaurant is open 365 days a year, which tells you something about how much locals love it too.

Getting to Yemanja Ibiza
Cala Jondal is in the south of the island and not reachable by public transport in any practical sense. A rental car is essential, and also the best way to explore this part of Ibiza properly. The south has some of the most beautiful coastline on the island, with hidden beaches and viewpoints that are impossible to reach otherwise. I always compare rates at Discover Cars before every trip. My Ibiza car rental guide has everything you need to know about picking the right car, which roads need a 4×4 and what to watch out for when you collect the keys.
With a Saily eSIM you stay connected from the moment you land. Download it before departure, skip the roaming fees and use Google Maps without stress on every dirt road that leads somewhere worth going.

Activities and day trips worth combining
The south of the island has some of the best water activities on Ibiza. The Sea and Caves Kayaking Tour with Snorkeling at Cala Codolar is one of the most extraordinary things you can do here. From the surface the sea looks calm, but the caves inside are something else entirely. Worth booking before you arrive, especially in summer.
For a broader look at the island, the Secret Spots Island 4×4 Tour by Land Rover Defender takes you to hidden beaches and viewpoints that most visitors never reach. Small group, proper local knowledge, and roads your rental car is better off skipping.
If you are spending time on the island’s quieter side, Amante Beach Club near Cala Nova is worth building a separate afternoon around. A completely different setting, but the same unhurried atmosphere.

Ending the day on the water is always the right call. The Ibiza sunset boat party with drinks and food gives you the coastline from a completely different angle. As I shared on my Instagram, watching the sky turn orange over the Mediterranean from the water is one of those moments that stays with you.
Other Ibiza articles worth reading
For the best lunch in the north of the island, the Sunday market in San Juan pairs perfectly with a visit to The Giri Café afterwards, one of the most charming spots on Ibiza. My full favourite restaurants in Ibiza guide covers the best places across the whole island. And if you want to extend the trip, Formentera is just 35 minutes by ferry and absolutely worth adding.

Yes, especially in summer. The terrace fills up fast, particularly at weekends. Book a table in advance to avoid disappointment. The same applies to the daybeds if you plan to stay for the afternoon.

The cava sangria first, without question. After that, the paella, the mussels and whatever fresh fish is on the menu that day. The fish dishes are the strongest part of the menu and worth ordering over anything else.
