Café Ter Marsch: Charcoal Grilled Chicken

Just a couple of months ago Ter Marsch & Co’s big brother opened its doors at the lively Witte de Withstraat in Rotterdam: Café Ter Marsch. Ter Marsch & Co keeps winning awards for their delicious burgers, but the signature dish at Café Ter Marsch is Charcoal Grilled Chicken. Pick one of the 3 sauces, fries with a special flavoured mayonnaise, some warm or cold veggies and you’re all set!

I decide to go for the chicken in winter truffle sauce, fries with Béarnaise sauce & grilled veggies. Ooooh, this chicken is tender! Yumm! In the mood for something different? Try the Steak Dry Aged Ocean Beef of 100 grams. In case you’re starving, not on a diet and a huuuuge meat lover: there is also a larger option available…. The wine list includes my favorite Sauvignon Blanc from the Marlborough region in New Zealand! The Verdejo by the glass is really good too.

Try the crispy Asian chicken with peanut sauce as an appetizer when it’s on the menu!

The interior is a creative mix of graffiti of carnivorous plants, candles & real plants and a wall full of old photos. The graffiti is made by Wouter van Foose, who used to wash the dishes at Ter Marsch & Co and spent some nightly hours working on his peace of art. Café Ter Marsch has a relaxed vibe and the staff will make you feel right at home. Great spot for lunch/ dinner or just some drinks. I will be back for more food and some G&T’s/ cocktails!
